FPS-Platformer
A downloadable game
FPS-Platformer is a game developed during my internship at Tricky Fast Studios. I created this game to make a tutorial for Tricky Fast Studios' YouTube Channel about how to use their software CAT Game Builder to create fully functional games with no programming. The game takes place in a city devoid of color, where the player must navigate winding rooftops to get to the flag as fast as possible! The game is a 3D First Person game.
Role: Sound Designer, Level Designer, Gameplay Programmer(Using CAT Game Builder)
Team Size: 2
Project Length: 1.5 Months
Programs I used: Unity, Github, Audacity, Slack, CAT Game Builder (Addon for Unity)
Challenges:
- Being a sound designer for a game where there isn't much else going on visually except the player, meaning there is more scrutiny placed on their sound effects.
- Figuring out how to create some of the obstacles using CAT Game Builder was difficult at times.
- Having a smaller team of just two developers, and us both being mainly programmers forced us to fill all of the other roles.
- This project was completed during my Internship, which put pressure on me and my partner to make a polished experience, that can also be replicated by those following the tutorial with ease.
